Introduction
The Copilot Settings page allows copilot administrators to customize and preview key settings that drive the copilot experience for end users. This feature is crucial for ensuring that various aspects of the copilot are correctly configured.
Customization: Enhance recognition and usability by customizing the chat display features, language model configurations used, and help content made available to users.
Automated Analytics: Enable Max to automatically evaluate a sample of user interactions from the previous today to simplify experience monitoring.
Accessing the Feature
To access copilot settings, navigate to the Skill Studio area of the product and choose the Copilot icon on left navigation bar. From there, on the Copilot navigation bar select Copilot Settings.
Configuring the Copilot
Display Name
The Display Name field allows administrators to customize what appears in the browser tab for all users.
- Enter the desired name in the Display Name field.
- Save Changes for your updates to take effect.
External Analytics
This option enables the collection of telemetry data. Sensitive data is obscured when translated to the telemetry review platform.
- Check the Allow External Analytics button.
- Save Changes for your updates to take effect.
Local Usage Data
This setting configures the delivery of usage data locally to enable meta-analysis with a copilot focused on adoption analysis.
- Pre-requisite: A connection configured in Data( Skill Studio) of Local Folder type. Itβs recommended to create a connection dedicated to this usage data.
- In Tenant Configuration, select the target connection from the dropdown list.
- Save Changes for your updates to take effect.
- Every 30 minutes the usage data will be updated in the Resources tab within the Data Connection you specified.
Environment URL
The public URL that the environment is reachable from - AnswerRocket uses this to generate links in emails to take users back into the app or in certain SSO integrations that involve a series of redirects that eventually land the user back in AnswerRocket.
- Enter the desired URL in the Environment URL field.
- Save Changes for your updates to take effect.
Use Case
Scenario 1: Customize LLM Parameters
Objective: Clearly distinguish between different environments such as development, staging, and production. Avoid confusion and ensure that users are aware of the environment they are working in.
Steps:
- In each environment, update the Display Name to include the environment level (i.e. Max - Staging)
- Save Changes
Outcome: Users can easily identify the current environment, reducing the risk of making changes in the wrong environment.
Scenario 2: Customize System Prompt
Objective: Set up Local Max Stats to provide access to up-to-date usage data for enhancing the copilot experience and monitoring adoption.
Steps:
- Ensure a connection (of Local Folder type) exists in Skill Studio β Data that can house the analytics data.
- Select this connection in the dropdown on Tenant Configuration UI.
- Save Changes
- After approx. 30 minutes, navigate into the target connection in Skill Studio β Data. Open the Resources tab and verify the file is present.
- Configure a dataset and copilot with skills that will provide the views of adoption that are most beneficial to your business.
Outcome: Stay up to date on how your users are interacting with copilots across the environment. Use insights to optimize copilot experiences to drive improved adoption with users.
