Creating a Knowledge Base

Your knowledge base serves as a library of your uploaded documents. These are the documents that Max can comb, summarize, and answer questions on as part of your copilot's capabilities. The only requirements for asking questions against your knowledge base are to:

a. Have a knowledge base set up with at least one document.

b. Have created a Document Explorer skill for your copilot.

c. Have an Embedding model set up in your API config.

 

To create a knowledge base:

  1. Ensure that you have semantic access enabled for your user.
  2. From Skill Studio, choose the Knowledge Base icon.

  3. Click the plus sign to add a new document.

  4. Select your document to upload from your device. Be sure to follow the restrictions noted in the modal for file type and file size.

You can now add a Document Explorer skill to your copilot to use in conjunction with the documents in your knowledge base.
