To get started with Max, you can add data by connecting to your database or by uploading a dataset that you'd like for Max to help you analyze.

Upload a Dataset Via CSV

Datasets from file upload must:

  • Be a CSV file.
  • Have clearly labeled column headers.
  • Be under 100 MB in total file size.
  • Not contain special characters.

To upload your dataset:

1. From the Datasets panel, select the plus icon.

2. Click Create Dataset from CSV if you're uploading a dataset from your computer. To jump to information on Creating a Dataset from a Database, click here.

3. Click Click to Upload to choose a dataset file from your computer or drag and drop the file onto the module window.

4. Once you've selected your dataset from your computer or dragged it into the module window, a preview of your file will appear. If your data looks good, select Create Dataset.

5. Your dataset is now uploaded and Max is processing it. A green toast message will appear notifying you that your dataset was accepted.

6. You will now see your dataset in the left side panel of the datasets section. A progress bar indicates where Max is at with processing your data.
